For years, I've been looking to see if there was any recording available of Dennis singing "I've Got A Friend," as it has a special significance to me. I see a message here that you remember recording it. Was it ever made available and/or will it ever be available in any form? I think it would be a tragedy for that song to be kept from seeing the light of day. If there's any way...

Dan Addington on his "Dreamer" site devoted to Denny writes about this song;

"While no studio version is currently available, one DOES exist. It's included on a set of multi-track reels logged for the "Dennis & Daryl album", circa 1971.(Elliott, 2001)"

Hope it turns up one day as it is a beautiful song and the live version is of terrible quality.
