MIAMI HERALD "Roy A. Sciacca is suing the Beach Boys for the right to sell Brian Wilson's original sheet music for hits such as 'Good Vibrations' and 'Wouldn't it be Nice', said to be worth some $20 million. Sciacca says he's the legal owner of Wilson's handwritten sheet music, which was contained in boxes of 'junk' Sciacca bought for a nominal amount at a liquidation auction of memorabilia held by the Beach Boys' management in the 1980s."
"The band, through its management company Brother Records, alleges the sheet music was stolen and has halted Sciacca's planned auction of the items. The lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court in Miami."
Roy A. Sciacca is Secretary of GEM SYSTEMS, INC. and the head of Star Memorabilia.

TENNESSEAN "On a happier note, Beach Boy Brian Wilson may be coming back to live in Brentwood. Brian and his lady were in Valentino's on West End last weekend, and he stopped and chatted with everyone who recognized him. Brian also talked at length with a couple eating next to them."
"'In fact, he talked so much we could hardly eat, but it was a lot of fun,' the gentleman e-mailed me. 'He and his girlfriend are looking at homes in Brentwood.
. . . He loves Nashville and owned a home in Brentwood previously.'"

THE WIRE "[A]ll the stuff that I have, the basic tracks are rock structured, it rocks, but it's only because I came from that. I started as a rock musician so that's always there, and it will always be there as, I don't particularly want to go into a strictly avant garde position or a rock position or anything else. But that will always be the basis of whatever I have. So one or two tracks, like the first track - it rocks, it rocks out, so that'll always be there."

NEWS TRIBUNE "More than 31 years after Laurie Partridge complained of stomach cramps, left a Spokane school and disappeared without a trace, her family has arranged a $5,000 reward offer to try to learn what happened."
"Detectives staked out a Beach Boys concert to which Partridge’s father had given her tickets but didn’t see her, eventually learning that the tickets had been used but too late to determine by whom."
